Future Mural Site. The Southeast Precinct retaining wall at 4747 E Burnside. The dimensions to be painted include two sides. 30 feet wide on West facing wall (NE 47th Ave.) and 101 feet wide on South facing wall (E Burnside St). Wall height is about 11.5 feet where the two sides meet, and tapers down to nearly ground level as it extends East.
Preparations are underway for the North Tabor Mural Project
Join North Tabor Neighborhood in a community effort to paint a mural on the retaining wall of the SE Precinct Building this summer.
We have acquired use of the wall on the corner of NE 47th Avenue and East Burnside Street for an outdoor inclusive public art project that will result in a landmark that represents who we are as a community.
We are teaming up with professional muralists Jakub Jerzy Kucharczyk, Matthew Allen Wooldridge and Maxwell Humphres from Spacecraft: Mission to Arts to complete the project.
The North Tabor Mural Project just received a grant from Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Small Grants Program to get this project started.

I live just down the street from the mural on 47th and am planning to have our house painted when the weather is suitable. Any ideas of what colors the mural will feature – or is that yet to be decided, Thought it could be nice to coordinate the palettes.
Hi Sharon,
The colors and image for the wall are still up for discussion. What would you like to see? Feel free to contact us at the meeting on February 24th, by email or through our survey. We’d love to hear your ideas!!
